Classic 1950’s Holy Grail
The NY BRO’S alto saxophone mouthpiece is modeled after one of the most famous and hard to find alto mouthpieces of the 1950’s – the Meyer Brothers New York.
The NY BRO’S features a medium chamber with ever so slightly concave side walls and a substantial roll-over baffle providing fast response and a large dynamic range.
The sound can be characterized as powerful and darker with complexity and depth – authoritative.
Both models have a medium roll-over baffle, with the SOLO MC featuring a medium sized throat vs the SOLO LC’s large throat. The result is that the SOLO LC is slightly darker with a more spread sound, while the SOLO MC has a more contemporary sound.
